Tim hit this one on the head. I was apprehensive watching it, because there is Heat, and man, that one is so good. But this is an entirely different beast. The film takes its time, and it stays with you.

I was surprised at how long it took for me to register what was going on, but this is a calmer movie than you might believe. Once you actually comprehend what is going on, you're just sitting there in disbelief.

I attribute that great quality to the actors. Not only does the family stare blankly and crack up as little as possible, but Guy Pearce gives another stunning performance as the man who's trying to do right.

All in all, a great flick, one of the best of 2010, and it's a shame it will go overlooked.
