Michod continues what he temporaririly left in Crossbow: he shows how a family lives, but this time he doesn't stylize tragedies. What we see are cockroaches, animals and killing instincts: there is no good boundaries between the Codys, they are killed, confronted to each other.
No escape at all. Josh could be a decent man, but it's no redemption for him to avenge, to kill and become a lion.
