This gritty Australian film is a slow paced, often tense, crime drama about a teenage boy who moves in with this grandma and uncles. A spectacular performance by Jacki Weaver as 'Grandma Smurf', who is both loving and terrifying.
The crime/thief lifestyle is underplayed, never appearing romanticized or sensationalized. An interesting watch.
