Review of Animal Kingdom (2010) by Braz K — 07 Jul 2012

I can't think of a better "life in a crime family" movie than this. Naturalistic acting, character-driven plot, carefully constructed. This is my kind of movie. My only complaint is that there are a couple of plot points that are hard to accept, around police procedure being twisted to serve the plot.

Otherwise the movie is beautifully constructed. And Joel Edgerton is climbing my "favourite actor" ladder pretty quickly. The fact that this movie didn't surpass one million in box office is just another piece of evidence that I was born on a different planet.
