Imagine an old wise pig who represents Karl Marx. Imagine a white pig called Snowball who represents Leon trotsky. Imagine a dark, sinister looking pig called Napoleon who represents Joseph Stalin, and what you get is this unique English retelling of George Orville's Animal Farm.

Despite its cute Disney like animation this is NO film for children. It's for adults because of some deeply disturbing scenes such as the scene in which Napoleon's attack dog soldier like followers attack, maul and kill a kitty.

And the scene in which these same dogs chase down, corner and kill Snowball. But most disturbing of all is the scene in which the valiant, heroic workhorse who does all the heavy duty labor for the farm without complaint, gets sold to the glue factory (and thus to his death) by Napoleon simply because he needs a day of rest.

I highly recommend this animation masterpiece.
