Interesting film by buscemi who brings a great visual style and direction. the story is well crafted with some forgotten actors from the past.
Mickey rourke is funny and quite well cast in the role as a drag queen. dafoe owns the role as the respected inmate who takes the new inmate furlong under he's wing. sadly furlong seems out of place for this role and seems to be sleep walking through the role.
A solid story and one of the better prison films.
