Review of Animal Crackers (1930) by Nicolas A — 08 Jan 2009
Not quite as good as Duck Soup, but only by a whisker. Some of the musical parts could have been shortened (as I say with most of their films) sometimes it just feels like they're put in just for the Marx Brothers to show off their talents.
It's the second film in a row that I've seen where Harpo gets a chance to play the harp with no real connection to the story line, what he plays is clearly impressive, but it isn't needed.
