Review of Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008) by David G — 16 Jul 2009

Depending on your ability to keep your breakfast down in the face of non-stop girly tween banter, cutesy wutesy romance and the general issues of a 14 year old girl growing up then this may either be the worst piece of vomit-inducing garbage you've ever seen or a genuinely heartwarming little romcom.

Thankfully I have a strong stomach and romcoms are a guilty pleasure of mine so I can let the Juno-esque lingo wash right over me and just enjoy the story. Sure it exists in the universe that all romcoms do, where nothing is actually true to life, no-one acts like a real human being and every loose end is neatly tied up by the end, but whatever, nobody would watch them otherwise.
