The story centers on a 14-year-old girl who keeps a diary about the ups and downs of being a teenager, including the things she learns about kissing.

Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is a book adaptation I must admit wasn't interesting in seeing. Yet I was persuaded to see. As it began I wondered what I had gotten myself into, because Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging plunges us into the thick of a very real, very funny life. The life in question is that of Georgia Nicolson who we are introduced to as shes walking down the road dressed as an olive.

Georgia Groome plays Georgia Nicolson well and shows us a 14 yr old girl facing trails and obstacles that arise in her life. Thongs,Snogging becomes a brilliant English Comedy that shouldn't be judged on the iffy trailer alone.

Eleanor Tomlinson as Jas, Aaron Johnson as Robbie, Alan Davies as Bob Nicholson, Karen Taylor as Connie Nicholson, &.

Tommy Bastow as Dave the Laugh all give wonderful detail and depth to their respective roles and character's giving believability and comedy to each other and in interaction with one another.

There's alot of funny happenings and scenarios that arise throughout the film and even when Georgia seems to have problems non-stop theres light also. Problems ranging from the prospect of moving to New Zealand for her Dad's work, her mum's seemingly imminent affair with a hunky builder, snogging and acquiring a boyfriend, or a cat that seems to be dressed up by her younger sister constantly. All these little things add to the depth of Thongs,Snogging and it's in one of these circumstances that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, or in this instance a film by it's trailer.

Thongs, snogging may be a chick flick but that doesn't mean that is all it consists of. Because it is also a brilliantly formulated English film adaptation of a book that I would consider reading for it's humour and light hearted nature.

Thongs,Snogging is a feel good, romance and comedy piece that to me on a personal level shines.
