Review of Angry Indian Goddesses (2015) by Amina M — 17 Dec 2017
This movie is one of those that beautifully balances a poetic understanding of elements of many womens' lives that are too often underrepresented in movies. The safety and adventure that sisterhood brings was fairly portrayed and we all were offered an insight into the struggles that we all carry which normally don't see the light.
The cinematography was gorgeous, the justice scene towards the end correlated with the title of the movie too. I don't agree with many people who have commented on this movie's attempt to take on various stories - I think that it was done tastefully, thoughtfully, empathically, and if we view from the framework that each person has their own delightful story that we want to learn about, then it is absolutely believable - my own friend circles are similar in their depth and variety in many ways, too.
Absolutely recommend this!!
