Review of Anger Management (2003) by Bryan K — 18 Sep 2011
It's one thing to see an inspired pairing of Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson in the same movie. But it's entirely another for it to be in a movie that drenches in misguided "encouragement" and "therapy," complete with raunchy and sex-related jokes about male anatomy and the like.
By said misguided means (and like Buddy Rydell to Dave), the film actually encourages (and makes humor out of) anger rather than healing it. Not a positive message. A few moments do stand out, such as the Yankees game (with great cameos), and the inclusion of "I Feel Pretty.
