Well, Nicholson saves the picture from being crap, since Sandler is playing a straight man, rare for him. Nicholson adds a sense of deranged comedy to it all, with Tuturro, Harrelson and John C. Rielly adding some more fuel to the fire making it a pretty funny comedy.
