Although the ending was as corny as Nebraska, I found this movie to be pretty good--Which is surprising considering my hate for Adam Sandler movies. The thing with Adam Sandler is that I don't hate him.
In fact, I find Sandler to be the highlight of his movies. The movies themselves, however, are so formulaic and boring that it brings Sandler down with it. This, However, is a rare exception. The chemistry between Nicholson and Sandler really works.
The way their dialogue plays off of each other was hilarious. Sure, the movie is bogged down with clichés and and uninteresting plot, but the story focuses more on Sandler's and NIcholson's relationship, which is absolutely fantastic.
If the movie were more original and the ending didn't suck, then this would be a great movie--It is definitely one of Sandler's best.
