I bailed on this after an hour. Nicholson can do this in his sleep - and it's a real shame that in the same year he elected to do the sublimely funny About Schmidt something persuaded him to busk in this Adam Sandler vehicle.
The joke is that Sandler - a man entirely lacking in energy or anger - has to embrace a course of therapy with angry Dr Jack. The only thing to keep one watching is Nicholson's infectious glee. But it can't replace a script.
