I would reccommend this to those that don't watch a lot of older films. The dialouge is easy to understand and it's a pretty straight forward film. I loved this movie, and it's got two of the greatest actors of all-time included in the cast.
A "must see" for any Cagney, Bogart, or gangster film (no matter what era they might enjoy).
