Review of Angels with Dirty Faces (1938) by Eric T — 28 Jun 2008
Strong cast, excellent performance, but a weak middle act (wherein the film can't seem to settle on Dead End Kids comedy or standard Cagney gangster drama). Great finale, though, and a wonderfully oily turn by Humphrey Bogart as a duplicitous lawyer.
