Cagney is such a bad ass in this! And the kids are so hardcore. This type of film reminds us that the innercity "thug life" bs is nothing new. It also seems pretty rare of a movie that Humphrey Bogart ISN'T the tough guy.
Ann Sheridan unfortunately ruins what would have been perfection.
