Amazing movie. The ambiguity of the ending is awesome...I'm in the "he faked it" crowd. Some people think he faked it as a gift so his priest friend would not lose faith, but I posit he faked it to make sure the priest always remembers how lucky he was that he could run faster when they were kids.
