This is one of my all-time favourite films. Bogart & the Dead End Kids are great, Pat O'Brien outclasses them but this is 100% the Jimmy Cagney show! I love Cagney & I especially love it when he's doing his gangster and the two of them combined in this just makes for one of the greatest films ever made.
if you havent seen it I urge you to try - and if you have, godamnit just watch it again!!! The last ten/twenty minutes would make todays so-called actors retire and the quality of the plot- its justy sooo fucking great!!! Really words cannot do this film justice.
My only regret is that 5 / 5 isnt high enough praise for it. f*ck it, seein as it my review its getting infinity / 5. If you're bored and have nothing to watch I urge you to watch this film - its simply unmissable.
