"Angels in the Outfield" lays on the sentiment pretty thick, but it comes off as too formulaic, especially when it's combined with the whole comedic concept of divine intervention for pro baseball players.
Call me callous, but I think the forces of heaven have much better things to do than to help a baseball team win the AL pennant, and even I'm a believer.
