Review of Angels in the Outfield (1994) by Rick H — 07 Jan 2012

I saw it, loved it it while growing up b/c I was an Angels fan. At Angels games, fans (me included) would wave our wings to inspire a rally. That was in 1995, and the Angels broke my heart as they gave away a 10 game lead with a month to go.

Anyhow, the movie lacks quality with the baseball realism, they filmed this in Oakland rather than Anaheim, etc. I like the transformation of Dannny Glover's character. I respect people who adopt kids in general and I thought this film put a positive light on adopting kids from foster care.

Thank God for all the foster care providers who are sometimes the only people who love this abused and abandoned kids.
