Review of Angela's Ashes (1999) by Shaun K — 17 Jul 2007
A shocking examination into the harsh reality of the impoverished upbringing of frank MCcourt, this story is based on his diary's and novel. This film is told with a rather sombre atmosphere all the way through, but that does not impede on the brilliance of the film.
The perfomances by the cast are outstanding, solid and very believeable, a great story told superlatively through the medium of film, one that will have you reaching for the tissues.
