Marvellously documented movie, Tells of the early childhood of one Frank McCourt whom against the backdrop of famine, disease and conflict triumphs and realises his dream of going to America come true.
It is often the courage in the face of hopelessness coupled with lightheartedness which makes this a much more compelling draw. Very moving indeed!
