Review of Angela's Ashes (1999) by Jody . — 29 Sep 2006
I watched this movie on television one day and it was not bad. Based on a real poor family in england, they have 4 children and the father is a drinker. They have no money and rely on the churches to help them out, scavenging for food where ever they can, even if it means sneaking it from richer familys tables.
The children go through a lot of flack from teachers, aunts, uncles, parents and a lot of it is religion based. It is a fairly good movie, if you can get past the strong english accent.
