Review of Angel Heart (1987) by Anthony F — 23 Dec 2010
Despite initially holding to many private eye film conventions, Angel Heart quickly breaks away into a wild, fantastic rhythm that is, at its core, very, very fun.
Watching Mickey Rourke decent into his typical pit of slovenliness is delightful (even more so than usual), and Robert De Niro is wickedly creepy.
The plot is at times convoluted, but in the end it all makes sense.
