Review of Angel Eyes (2001) by Rodrigo R — 26 Jun 2011
I remember watching this film not knowing what to expect from Jennifer Lopez. Her previous films weren't at all worth the watch so I felt somewhat the same feeling about this one. The difference was this had a great story and acting to match.
Caviezel and Lopez worked so well together with this combination of mystery, drama and love. A true gem buried amongst the trashy films she has done. Her acting is good, but her direction for the films she stars in isn't.
Caviezel also puts in effort for the amnesiac character burying his tragic secret within him until he forgives himself and learns to let go of the past.
Anyone looking for a film with a bit of tragedy-romance should look no further as this is what you are looking for. 80% approval rating.
