Review of Anesthesia (2016) by Louis S — 25 Apr 2015
Tim Blake Nelson's (who you may know as the heroin addicted step-father on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) ensemble drama attempts to be a bit of a thesis on the human condition. Unfortunately, it suffers from a heavy-handed script that feel manipulative, and the dialogue feels too on the nose.
Some interesting material surfaces though in the multi-storied narrative, which makes one wonder if this could have worked better as a TV series.
