Review of Andrew Bird: Fever Year (2011) by Kyle A — 29 Sep 2012
This was the first time I had ever heard Andrew Bird's music, much less heard how he goes through his creative process. The film is about 85% concert footage, with the other 15% sprinkling moments of life history and creative theology. It's fascinating & relaxing and I could help but have an appreciation for Andrew Bird, even if my familiarity with his work was virtually non-existant beforehand. I think that's a testament to the filmmaking that's done in "Andrew Bird: Fever Year". It's a shame the only form of 'distribution' for this film is the festival circuit. If it's playing in an area festival please check it out. It maybe the only chance you get.
