Father who passed away returns in the robot invention his two sons put together in the garage. Dad manages to reconnect with the kids and seems to give his blessing to Mom's new romance while saving the family from peril before returning to heaven.
Feel good movie for tweens with Alan Thicke wisely cast as the voice of Dad given he was in the midst of a long run as the patriarch of the Seaver household in ABC's hit comedy Growing Pains.
