Not as saccharine as I anticipated: rather an excellent account of the dips and barrows of a son's relationship with, and in the shadow of, his father. The cast all play a blinder, and though Tucker's direction is very simple and by-the-books (he's a part-time lecturer at Beaconsfield, isn't he?) it works quite well with the material.
If you've ever had a less-than-perfect relationship with your father, it's going to strike many chords.
