Excellent performances make this great little movie. As his Father is dying, Firth is trying to come to terms with the relationship he has had with his Father over the years, but in truth he is also trying to come to terms with himself.
A lovely score to the film does threaten to swamp the piece with emotional tones, but just does enough to really touch all the right chords. Not the easiest film to watch, but definitely worth it.
