Let me admit right off the bat that this movie turned me into Niagra Falls. But at least I held it off until the end! Colin Firth and Jim Broadbent make a brilliant pair. I only wish we could've seen them together more.
Indeed, the entire cast performed impeccably. Interesting how thinking about how you related to a person at different periods of your life in turn unlocks memories about many other things that happened at those same times.
By the time we reach Colin Firth's emotional climax toward the end, it seems perfectly natural. Superb writing, directing, acting, photography, all that stuff.
