Review of And Then There Were None (1945) by Noel V — 17 Nov 2010
Sharp fun. Who'd have thought a comic filmmaker like Clair would be so suited to Christie? But when you think about it, the virtues of a comic filmmaker--elegance of storytelling, unity of place and time--are not so far from the elegance of thriller writing (and some comic filmmakers--Lloyd, Keaton--are also excellent thriller filmmakers).
Plus June Duprez is an irresistible confection.
