Review of And Then Came Lola (2009) by Erik P — 04 Jun 2010
Imagine Run Lola Run with lesbians. Sounds great. Sadly, much worse. It's hard, very hard, not to like a film about lesbians, but this insists on doing things that are painfully stupid and beyond believable to setup the story.
It's as if listening to a kid tell a prolonged story how the dog ate the homework. On top of that, they steal the style of Run Lola Run like a film student making a film for class. So the story not only is painfully boring but repetitive with only less than naked, TV style lesbian sex to break the tedium.
Fortunately, the cartoon animation and some insightful points rescue it from being recycled as a dog bowl.
