Review of ...And Justice for All (1979) by Aaron L — 02 Feb 2008
This was a pretty good movie. Al Pacino is great as usual. The more movies I see him in, however, the less disparity I see between the way he uses his voice in many scenes. In ...And Justice For All there were a few scenes that showed he could use his voice in different ways besides the trademarked "scream acting" that some people think Pacino uses.
It was refreshing, and I wish he varied his voice more in other films. Of course, it must be hard for him to do this since he plays so many similar characters in films. Besides Pacino, this movie is very entertaining.
It takes multiple storylines and weaves them together to show different angles of the corrupt legal system. The film reaches its height in the end of the film, as Pacino is truly stunning and full of pure emotion.
If the rest of the film's stakes were as high or the intensity was as powerful as the end of the film, then this movie would be even better.
