[font=Arial][color=#000000]After spending a night in the slammer for contempt after taking a swing at a ruthless judge, an honest defense lawyer is horrified when that very same judge requests him for defense in a trial where he?s brought up on charges for a brutal rape.

He scoffs at the idea, but the judge threatens to disbar him if he doesn?t go through with it. Seeing no other alternative, he takes the case. While the stress mounts, the young lawyer starts to lose his other clients through the crooked cracks in the judicial system by one tragic means after another.

Nearing the end of his rope, he has to decide if being honest in a crooked system is worth the stress, heartache and ethical strain that?s being forced on him. Pacino gives another blistering performance as the disgusted lawyer who approaches the crossroads of his career.

The tension culminates in a classic, explosive courtroom finale. A frustrating, but engrossing picture that takes a close look at not only one man?s quest for justice in our system, but how the courts can fail all honest lawyers and the clients that they represent, no matter how guilty or innocent they may be.
