Review of ...And God Created Woman (1956) by Gaelan D — 18 Jan 2008
This movie is terrifying in how it realistically it breaks the perfect love-story we don't have the heart to abandon.
While Bardot's original transition from cold seductress to strong-willed but different-loving is clumsy, the rest of the movie expertly highlights an ideal that is difficult but profoundly warm.
If seems that the further we go into the past, the stronger and more complex our characters become. I'm not sure why this is but it's kind of sad.
