Review of Anchors Aweigh (1945) by David G — 16 Jan 2009
Fast forward to Gene's adventure in cartoon land as it's really the only memorable part of this otherwise average musical which also doubles as a feature-length Jose Iturbi promotion. Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra (who was 30 at the time but looks like a teen) are a great team however and in a fun bit of trivia, Donnie the young sailor-wannabe was played by none other than Dean Stockwell of Quantum Leap fame!
