Review of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013) by Shiela E — 12 Jun 2014

I was in the minority in that I didn't find the FIRST film nearly as funny as everyone else did. I love a lot of the actors in this though (particularly Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell), so I kept an open mind.

I think I like this better than the original. Ron Burgandy actually seems to grow up a bit here, learn from his mistakes, become a better person (largely because of his wife, played by the terrific Christina Applegate), and the film makes a really relevant point about the state of tv news these days. there is also an epic battle at the end of the film similar to the one in the first film but on a much grander scale including cameos from some real heavyweights in the comedy field. have fun picking them all out.
