Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Jennifer B — 08 Apr 2008
Funky intro credits and music, it gets you in the mood and I dig the style of the movie. It kinda gives the "A day in the Life of Sherlock Holmes (and Watson)" vibe. Then there's Jimmy Stewart, one of my favourite actors.
He was absolutely made to play this role. He loved fishing in the movie (so cute) and he was so good with the dog (yes, I notice these things). The film though was quite long, but there's not that much to complain about since every detail is important and pretty much highlights the Anatomy aspect of the movie.
Overall, an afternoon well-wasted, four stars!
