Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Matt V — 01 Mar 2009
Granted, I watched this on my iPod over the course of a week, but still, this movie *sprawls* out over its 160 minutes. The Duke Ellington score is awesome, but any momentum that it establishes is killed in the long courtroom scenes.
This was probably an exciting drama in 1959, but it is too diffuse to hold up in 2009.
