Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Paul C — 05 May 2009
Firstly ignore the year stated above - this couldnt have been made in 1939 as Ben Gazzara's character is a Korean War veteran. A great courtroom drama that was obviously quite controversial at the time, and still has an air of ambiguity to it now.
It can be a bit stodgy in parts and Duke Ellington's jazz score is often irritating, but this isl a great film nonetheless.
