Jimmy Stewart is excellent as a n ex-DA who is defending a army soldier who kills a man for raping his wife. Some of the courtroom dialogue was probably quite racy for its time. You never quite believe the husband and wife, and can't figure out if the attorney believes them either.
A young George C Scott is also very good.
