Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Jonathan R — 23 Sep 2009
A gritty, but intimate, court drama. Not standard fare for Stewart, but his work in this picture is first class. George C. Scott is excellent as a rival lawyer, working to condemn the man Stewart defends.
I enjoy films with moral tension, and this one plays with it - you're rooting for the protagonists, but are a little unsure because you're unsure the man should go free.
