Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Matt D — 24 Oct 2009
One of the best court drama's I have ever watched on film. The film stars James Stewart as a lawyer defending a man who killed someone who apparently raped his wife. This is no easy job for Jimmy Stewart's character.
He not only has to make a solid defense case he has to try and solve the truth of the matter. Jimmy Stewart is excellent in this. Between his charisma and excellent acting on screen made for a entertaining movie.
Plus great performances from Ben Gazzara, Lee Remick and a very young George C. Scott. This movie was based off of a book. I never read it but this was a good film. A great film with a great cast. Well worth a watch.
