Outstanding film! Probably the best film of 1959 (though I have not seen "Ben-Hur" or "Rio Bravo," but for me, better than "Some Like it Hot" and "North By Northwest"), Otto Preminger's best film, and one of the finest films for James Stewart, George C.
Scott, and all others involved. At 160 minutes long, it is intense, thought provoking, and uses excellent dialogue and terminology. For a film from 1959, it could mistaken for something much more recent and it has hardly aged.
It is a must-see for all. What a truly great film.
