Tight script, good direction, loved the jazz. For most trial court dramas, I usually have an inkling how the ending's going to go, or at least how I want it to go, and with this film, I was sure of neither.
As such, it had me hooked for all 2 hours 40 minutes. James Stewart, of course, was impeccable in every scene.
