Review of Anatomy of a Murder (1959) by Connor G — 03 Feb 2013
A 160 minute courtroom drama that hardly feels anywhere near that long and, largely, steers clear of being moralistic and preachy? We have a winner! I only wish we'd had a little more Jimmy Stewart-Eve Arden interaction, of which there is already a great deal.
Otto Preminger really outdoes himself, delivering an astonishing composition of a typically tepid tableau.
