Review of Analyze This (1999) by Sujay B — 08 Feb 2010
A movie that takes the crime comedy to organized crime. Deniro and Crystal are fun to watch together and carry the entire plot. It is comical to watch DeNiro play the soft-hearted mob boss in a comedy when you are used to him as a cut throat killer (Goodfellas, The Untouchables, The Godfather II).
However, this change of pace makes the movie work. Overall, it was a good movie. It had more F bombs than there are days in Paul Vitti's 18 month sentence, but in the end the basic plot is made watchable by the DeNiro-Crystal tag team.
