Review of Analyze This (1999) by Michael W — 22 Dec 2012
The humor rids one of their depression! Analyze this follows the sopranos premise of a mobster and psychiatrists relationship. The Vitti (the mobster) and Sobel (the psychiatrist) characters are moral and personal opposites! Vitti character uses over the top mob ways of solving problems, and Sobel must try his best dealing with the awkward situations.
One of the funniest scenes was when Vitti shoots the pillow to vent his anger scene. Harold Ramis is a comic genius. When a movie is written and direct by Ramis one notice how the timing, rhythm, facial expression, and situations are hilarious.
Ramis had written and directed Caddy Shack, Vacation, and other other countless classics. Analyze This could be added as another comedy classic. Good job Harold. 3 stars.
